About Us

Dave’s Norton

English sisters Sue and Lizzie share this magnificent setting with their husbands, David and Dave, all of whom will ensure that your stay in Normandy is relaxing, interesting and definitely fun.

One of our passions is cooking with the finest of seasonal produce, from homemade breads and creamy homemade yoghurt to start your day to divine puddings and dense silky homemade chocolates which will ensure you end your day with a sumptuous feast.

Another of Sue’s passions is antique linen, her magnificent collection of dowry linen is used on all beds in Le Manoir

David and Dave may be persuaded to show you some of their big, bad, boys toys! David has collected vintage and veteran British Motorcycles, they are the love of his life and he never loses the opportunity to show them off. Dave has accumulated a wealth of knowledge about the area, the momentous events of June 1944 and the battle for Normandy, his enthusiasm is contagious and his tour of the barns and property is informative and popular with our visitors.

In the gardens and fields there is a cocktail of chickens and bantams around the pond are ducks and geese. Maya, a rather roly poly pony and Wilbur and Piona two extra large donkeys complete the family.

Our second stay here — just as wonderful as the first time and I think Le Manoir looked even more beautiful.
